TMP-M FBLA Performs Well at State
What a great experience for our students. They represented TMP-M this past Wednesday-Friday with the utmost class and pride. I am so proud of them.
Results:
E-Business: Mia Lang and Gracyn Schippers competed on Thursday. They had made the finals (6) with their entry prior to the state competition. They placed 2nd in the state. Their presentation was great! We will hear more about nationals, but we are under the assumption that they qualified with their second place finish.
Marketing: Joey Mindrup and Evan Balthazor took their Marketing test on Wednesday. As a team they qualified for the finals (8) on Friday. Friday, they were given a case study scenario and had 20 minutes to come up with their solution. They did a great job and ended up 2nd in the state. I am very proud of their work. They, also, will hear about nationals soon. Again, we are assuming they did qualify with their second place finish.
Gracyn did not place in Health Care Administration. I was very proud of her for wanting to try this event and for her efforts.
Business Ethics: Allison Weber was not able to compete because she was ill. But her presentation with Joey and Evan had previously made the finals (6) because it was submitted and judged prior to state. I felt horrible as I know she really wanted to compete. I know as a team they would have had a great chance to place extremely high.
Again, I am extremely proud of these young men and women. They were a joy to be around for the 3 days. The expression on their faces after they heard the results as they stood on the stage was priceless.
Thank you for all your support. As soon as I hear more information about Nationals, I will let you know. Mr. Linn
Four Monarchs Compete at State FBLA in Topeka.
It has been a good 2 days for our students. They all have competed and done quite well. As of now, all four TMP-M students who were able to go have qualified for finals:
Marketing: Juniors Joey Mindrup and Evan Balthazor. Took the test yesterday and made the finals. (Top 8 and will compete today in the finals)
Health Care Administration: Gracyn Schippers competed yesterday and will find out today during the Awards ceremony if she placed.
E-Business: Mia Lang and Gracyn made the final 6. They competed yesterday and we will find out results during the Awards ceremony.
Business Ethics: Allison Weber, Joey, and Evan made the final 6 but were not able to compete today because Allison was sick. Feel better soon Allison!
Today will be exciting for the 4 students competing as each will be very nervous waiting for their results. No matter how they place, they have done a great job! We will post final results when the conference is over.
28 days and counting! Seniors Sophia Allen and Jenna Schlyer received their caps and gowns today. While they say they're not counting the looks on their faces says otherwise.
On Tuesday, March 28th the JH competed at the MCEL Scholars Bowl hosted in Hill City. The 7th grade took 1st place with a record of 10-1 and the 8th grade took 3rd place with a record of 8-3.
