State of Catholic Schools Address on Monday, March 7
Make sure to attend the 2022 State of Catholic Schools Address on Monday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
At the address you will hear:
An update on happenings and challenges at both schools
The latest on the 6th grade transition to TMP-Marian
A message from Superintendent Andrews and update on the strategic plan
A financial update
Every Catholic school family needs to have at least one parent or guardian in attendance. A make-up session will be announced after the address.
***Childcare will be available for families with young children.
Congratulations to Mattias Marintzer; Mattias was selected to go to the state championship for his mousetrap car for Science Olympiad.
The Junior High Scholar's Bowl participated in the Phillipsburg tournament on Thursday, March 3. The 7th grade students took second place with a 6-1 record. Our 8th grade students finished in third place after emerging from a 3 way tie breaker and ended the event with a 5-2 record. Pictured below are the students participating in the tournament.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes February Athlete of the Month: Kenton Ginther
The Junior High Scholars Bowl competed in Ellis on February 28. The 7th grade took 1st place with a record of 7-0. The 8th grade students gave it a go with a record of 3-4.
Congrats to Jensen Brull and Madelyn Seiler who received a gold medal for their project “Botanical Brawlers” at the FHSU Science Fair this past Saturday. They researched the effect of Kansas wetland plants against bacterial growth and qualified for the state competition!
State wrestling update...Claudine Stein falls 7-2 in the consolation quarter finals. Phenomenal first season and an amazing run. Claudine is a freshman state qualifier. Her tournament included 3 matches against current or formerly ranked opponents. She opened the tournament with a victory over the #6 ranked wrestler in the state. She finished as one of the final 192 high school girls wresting this season.
Remarkable growth and commitment throughout the season! TMP is so very proud of how far Claudine has come this season and is excited to see what the next three years hold for her and our wrestling team.
Congratulations to our TMP-M Junior High musicians on a great showing today at the MCEL Music Festival in Norton. The ratings for the day are: Band - I; Choir - II+; Alyssa Church (vocal solo) - II+; Grace Schmeidler (vocal solo) - I; Ian Nehls (trombone solo) - I; Preston Mermis (trumpet solo) - II; Arianna Ayarza (clarinet solo) - II; Hannah Rose (alto sax solo) - I; Zechariah Dickman (violin solo) - II; Connor Breit (french horn solo) - II; Mattias Marintzer (trombone solo) - I; Patrick Weber (snare drum solo) - I; Carson Pinkey (snare drum solo) - I; Carson Liles (snare drum solo) - AP.
We are very proud of these young musicians for all of their hard work preparing for and representing our school today. Way to go, Monarchs!

Art projects from TMP-M students currently in Mrs. Nancy Flax's art classes is on display at the Hansen Museum in Logan. The artwork will be displayed until February 27, 2022. Great job Mrs. Flax and students!

Congratulations to Miss Jennie Helget on being named TMP-M Junior High Student Council's Teacher of the Quarter for Q2. Miss Helget teaches math at the junior high level. Thanks for all you do, Miss Helget!
TMP High School students started the day with our version of "House Feud". This allowed students to have a little fun while experiencing our vision of 'Finding God in our Relationships with others'.

TMP was represented by four Junior High students at the Ellis County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 7. While they did not place each of them did a great job; we are proud of them!
TMP hosted the Regional Scholar's Bowl Tournament last evening. The Monarchs finished with a 9-2 record and first place finish. That marks four consecutive first place finishes. The season will conclude with the State Scholar's Bowl tournament on Saturday, February 12 in Gypsum. Best of luck to the Monarchs next weekend!
The TMP Junior High Chess Team traveled to Hutchinson on Saturday, February 5 for a tournament. They came away with a 21 point first place win; ahead of Trinity Middle School who had 12 team points.
Individually, 8th Grader Eli Stein placed first on tiebreaks ahead of 8th Grader Blaise Staab, both with an undefeated 6 points, while 7th Grader Carson Pinkney placed 3rd with 5 wins and one loss. Brynnon Ayarza in 7th grade placed 6th with 4 wins and 2 losses. Great job JH Chess Team!
Pop Singers' Dinner Show rocks it again! Great work and such wonderful talent on display. Well done Pop Singers, Mrs. Rome and all the musicians and crew. We are proud of you Monarchs!
