Today our Junior High and High School Students had an opportunity to learn about teamwork, communication, and caring about others as they participated in various learning activities.
The junior high and high school students participated in team building and communication work with Smokey Hill Education Service Center. These activities stressed the importance of being connected as a team and communicating effectively. They also worked with the students to develop leadership.
The high school also participated in an activity in the Hays community. Their mission was to put some smiles on people’s faces and brighten their day. They had to develop the idea and carry it out as a group.
Your students did a fantastic job today!

Summer is the best time to do a transfer because it allows time for questions to be answered, class schedules to be made, and social and activity participation to break the ice before the first day of school.
There is assistance for school fees and tuition, including for first time new families to Hays Catholic Schools for students entering 7th or 8th grades.

Roadway Reconstruction Phase 1 Is Underway!
It is so exciting to see concrete being poured this morning on TMP-Marian's campus. Phase 1 is 17th Street Road in front of the fieldhouse. When Phase 1 is complete and the 17th Street Road reopens, Phase 2 will commence. Phase 2 is the remainder of Victory Road to the intersection. At that point our Item 60 2021 funds will be spent. We look forward to completing Phase 3, the parking lot south of the school, in the near future. The new roadways will be a tremendous boost in pride for our students, families, and alumni. It will be a wonderful first impression for our guests and prospective families. Thank you to everyone who made these smooth roadways possible.

Graduations photos for seniors are available in the office. In addition to the photos taken by Allison Vahling, super fan Tom Schenk also took various photos at graduation.
Tom takes photos and produces prints. Seniors or their families may stop by the front office and check out the book. If you see a photo of your senior that you would like, simply consider a free-will donation to help Tom cover his costs. Families with a senior can take as many photos as they like.
Thank you Tom and good luck to the Class of 2022!
TMP-Marian incoming sophomores Grace Schmeidler and Chloe Purinton were able to attend the 94th Kansas FFA State Convention on the campus of Kansas State University this week. The two FFA members attended sessions, listened to speakers, and enjoyed a concert with approximately 2,000 other students. The girls are eager to share all they learned with the rest of the club and hope to bring a larger group to Manhattan next year.
While in Manhattan, they stopped by St. Isidore’s renovation site, checked out the student center, and visited Fr. Gale Hammerschmidt who had just returned from Rome.
TMP’s FFA chapter was the first for a private school in Kansas and remains the only Catholic High School FFA Chapter.

Danny Dinkel, TMP-Marian graduate of 1993 visited with Ms. Werner's personal finance class yesterday. Dinkel got a degree in finance with an emphasis in personal planning and has been a local Farm Bureau insurance agent for the past 23 years. He visited with the students about mutual funds, life insurance, car insurance, and planning. Ms. Werner says she "appreciates Danny talking to the students because it is great to reiterate information from someone in the business world and to share real-world experiences, which helps students make a connection between what they are learning and the real world. It is so beneficial to have someone come talk about what the world of business and finance is actually like, what career paths look like, and offer insights into the analytical aspects of their jobs."
The Junior High Monarch Music students presented Madelyn Seiler ('22) with a thank you gift for all of her hard work and dedication to Monarch Music. Madelyn has been a great example of servitude to both the junior high and high school students alike. Madelyn will be turning the reigns over to Jensen Brull ('23) with the help of Ms. Jennie Helget.
