Jennie Meagher New Addition to Counseling Staff
TMP-Marian is pleased to announce the addition of Jennie Meagher to the Counseling Department at TMP-Marian. In addition to helping students prepare for life after high school through facilitating standardized testing and identifying and assisting with scholarship opportunities, Meagher will be responsible for the Individual Plans of Study (IPS) Program recommended by the Kansas Department of Education.
TMP-Marian, in cooperation with the The Kansas State Dept. Of Education, recognizes that as students navigate through junior high and high school and into career and college, it is imperative that students set educational goals and create a road map for success. This road map, or individual plan of study, includes development of a flexible career focus and an education plan that is clearly-defined, rigorous, and relevant to assure a successful and efficient transition to postsecondary education and/or the workforce.
Meagher has earned a degree as Education Specialist in School Psychology from Fort Hays State University and a M.S. in School Psychology from Fort Hays State University in 2013. Most recently she has served as school psychologist for the McPherson County Special Education Cooperative, El Dorado Public Schools, and the Butler County Special Education Cooperative. She is passionate about helping students and is looking forward to joining the TMP-Marian family.
Meagher will be joining her brother, Bill, who currently serves as TMP-Marian Campus Minister and Junior High Theology Instructor, as well as her father, Tom, who serves as Assistant Principal. We are blessed to have the opportunity for Jennie to serve our Monarch families as they explore their potential and seek their lives’ vocations. Welcome!
